May is Mental Health Awareness Month and throughout the month, El Pasoans are encouraged to start conversations with family, friends, and co-workers about the importance of caring for our mental health. What better way to have those discussions than with a scoop of cool cucumber lime ice cream sold exclusively at Howdy’s Homemade Ice Cream Shop downtown.
“We are very excited about this partnership because Howdy Homemade Ice Cream creates jobs for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. So, we get to work with this incredible local business for such a worthy cause, mental health awareness,” said Kristi Daugherty, CEO Emergence Health Network.
“Green is the symbolic color for Mental Health Awareness Month, so Howdy’s staff members created several ice cream flavors with the color green in mind. We got to taste the ice cream creations which were all amazing but, in the end, Cool Cucumber Lime took the top honor,” added Daugherty. “El Pasoans are going to love it and they can get it throughout the month of May at Howdy’s Homemade Ice Cream located at 601 North Oregon Street, El Paso TX 79901.
