Emergence Health Network, together with the UTEP Athletics Department is the recipient of the 2020 Frank M. Adams Outstanding Community Volunteer Service Award. The award is presented annually to volunteers in the Texas Community Center system in recognition of their efforts and services surrounding mental health awareness.
EHN partnered with UTEP student athletes to create a series of short videos with the focus of reaching young adults such as themselves and the community with important messages related to behavioral health and more importantly how and where to get help.
The videos were produced and shared through social media sites and other media platforms on the UTEP campus. Topics include: Importance of seeking help through COVID-19, Suicide Prevention Awareness, Recognizing and Dealing with the Holiday Blues, and Substance Abuse Prevention Month. EHN is proud to be a part of this initiative and applauds these athletes for speaking out and being the difference.
