Youth Crisis Outreach Teams (YCOT) at Emergence Health Network work to support young people who are experiencing significant distress or are at risk due to mental health challenges, homelessness, substance use, violence, or other crises. Their work is preventive, responsive, and often conducted in community settings rather than in hospitals or clinics.
Utilizing EHN’s Mobile Crisis Units (MCU) our YCOT professionals can travel to connect with youth in their own environments, both physically and emotionally, while fostering trust and engagement.
YCOT Services include:
- 24-hour availability
- Immediate personal screening and support
- Trauma-informed interventions for youth
- Relapse prevention and safety planning
- Ongoing support for up to 90 days after a crisis
- Follow-up case monitoring
