• Intake

The Intake and Assessment Unit is the initial point of contact for individuals seeking services within EHN and/or El Paso Psychiatric Center. Individuals seen may be experiencing emotional distress, severe mental health crisis, or are simply seeking to make an application for service. Individuals are assessed by qualified mental health professionals and as required by a psychiatrist.

Recommendations to the individual or family are based on the needs of the individual and least restrictive level of care required to provide these services. Individuals who are found to be ineligible for services are referred to other appropriate agencies within the community. The Intake unit is open 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
